And what's wrong with that? The ancient Egyptians did that too.

Jesus is also dead. Don't Christians pray to him?

Nope!

Revelation 1:18

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

- King James Bible "Authorized Version", Cambridge Edition

Jesus was resurrected, he is not dead. Also have got holy trinity...father, son and holy ghost, all same same.

Well, technically he is dead. Only after death can a person be resurrected.:D

.—verb (used with object)
Ressurect:

to raise from the dead; bring to life again.
to bring back into use, practice, etc.: to resurrect an ancient custom.

Did the bible say what happened after he resurrected? Strange that everyone heard of the resurrection but no one knew where he went after..........

True Buddhists don't pray to the Buddha.

True. Buddha is not God, he is only our teacher. He cannot wash away our sins nor grant us our wishes. Indeed, praying to him is a waste of time. We respect him as a great teacher, a teacher that shows us the path. We and only we can determine our fate, make our own luck or condemn ourselves to endless suffering in Samsara. With metta.

You are right. The buddha statue is meant to serve as a reminder of his teachings

The ancient chinese already known "菩萨泥过江自身难保", literally means the bodhisattva idol made of clay can't protect itself crossing river. The statue is just symbolic. Christians like to distort other religious beliefs to convert people to christianity. Taoists and buddhists don't worship idols literally.

English-technically, he died, not is dead. If he is dead, it means he hadn't resurrected.

As to whether Buddha resurrected, you'd have to ask the religious man Khaw Boon Wan.

Not your western Jesus Christ. I worship Jade Emperor, the supreme creator of the universe. It is a truly peaceful religion as no life was ever kill in his name. We know idols are dead pieces and have no power even before your christianity came to the east.

You have to find a english language teacher to learn the meaning of symbolism.
