A CHINESE Olympic hurdler who was a contender for gold but fell in his race is now being
used in an advert for premature ejaculation.
Liu Xiang, who stumbled at the first hurdle of the men’s 110 metres heat at London 2012, is now
said to be suing a medical company promoting a drug for premature ejaculation.
The ad — which shows Liu sprawled on the track with his head bowed in shame — is captioned:
“Falling down at the beginning of the race! Premature ejaculation: Man’s unspeakable pain.”
Staff at the clinic in Guangzhou, southern China, have refused to discuss the ad but Liu is said to
be suing over the unauthorised use of the picture.
