They'll have to furnish a charge if they offer bail or charge you in court summarily within 48 hours or apply for remand without bail beyond 48 hours. So the confidentiality period is within the first 48 hours. Thereafter, even if they hold you under ISA or CLTPA, they'll have to tell next-of-kins to allow them to know what it's all about and to arrange to legal defence if they want to.
