3 ministers helpout

PAP Chairman Khaw Boon Wan said, if the WP were in power and had ministers resigning or being sacked, it would be very troublesome for Singapore.

Education Minister Heng Swee Keat at PAP's Hougang by-election rally: "Democracy is putting the needs of the country first, having the patience to build a beautiful home."

Then Ag Minister for MCYS, Chan Chun Sing was spotted at the PAP Hougang rally – I don’t know what he was doing there, but being an ex-army man maybe he was coordinating the buses that were hired to bring PAP supporters from all over the island, and of course to make sure all the PAP supporters receive their free nasi lemak and cheng teng.

Re: Extra helping hand

improved by more than 145 votes!

one small step for man. a giant leap for mankind!!!! :D

Re: Extra helping hand

Hahaha. Trying to make sense and rationalise the PAP's defeat. What did they expect? To expect a miracle? Despite all the dirty tricks used against Png and WP and the goverment media blatantly supporting DC's quest to be the Hougang MP, they still got a resounding NO! But having thick hides, they consoled themselves that DC had won the hearts of many Hougang residents and it marked a new beginning for DC. Wait long long! PA=PAP!

Re: Extra helping hand

yeah...he received only 100+ votes more as compared to previous GE...

Re: 3 ministers helpout

Governments in the UK and all over the world lose ministers through sacking or resignations all the time. Life still ges on. I think it is a good thing when Ministers leave because of conscience or have to leave because of performance. Far worse when people stay past their due date.

They are trying to tell us that although they lost, technically they won.:(

It is time for Desmond to get a real job. The trade union cannot afford to pay him the big bucks while he wait for the next election. Two tries, that's it. He can contest again the next time if he desires. Now, he just need to get off the PAP pork barrel and find a real job on his won.

With respect, how do you know he is not paid big bucks in his current role in NTUC? Don't play play with this government scholar!

gain of 145 votes, considered stellar meh? maybe he would stand a better chance as indpendant candidate haha
