<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->MY HEARTIEST congratulations to the organisers, performers and sponsors of the Deepavali 2009 countdown.
It was so meticulously arranged and executed without a flaw. The entire programme was well arranged right down to the choice of songs and dances.
Even the visuals were well chosen and provided the show with great impact. However, it would have been better to have additional sound systems at the centre where there were projectors.
The catcalls, whistling and standing on chairs by some in the audience should have been better controlled as it marred the atmosphere for the families with children, who became very frightened by the obnoxious behaviour.
I hope that the organisers will pay more attention to unruly members of the crowd in future. Once again, well done Vasantham Central and all teams involved.

The girls were scantily dressed and danced suggestively. In the dead of night such acts will definitely kindle base feelings in the foreign workers who are thousands of miles away from wife and quite starved for certain things.

Congratulations to the organisers and sponsors and performers. Hope new faces can be introduced for comperes rather than the same Ellamaran and Vadivelu for so many events and TV programmes. No disrespect to them. Hope they do not have long term contract with Mediacorp. Take a cue from Vannathirai who introduce new faces.

No doubt we get to see unruly behaviour by some of them who were mainly foreigners working in S'pore. If one think they should be controlled, then we must have in a hotel or at mediacorp. This show was put up for not only locals but also for the long forgotten workers who had not celebrated with their families in India, hardorking labourers who toil day and night. Please have some mercy, it was just a few hours of show, so let them enjoy. A suggestion: those who are afraid of unruly behaviour, please watch it from home.

They should hold it next year at the Istana grounds
