Dear vegans (although we are in the tiny minority), you're on the right track, but...

Are you a vegan (i.e. a strict vegetarian)?

wikipedia.org/wiki/Soba
"Soba (そば or 蕎麦) is the Japanese name for buckwheat. It usually refers to thin noodles made from buckwheat flour, or buckwheat and wheat flours (Nagano soba).
Soba is a good nutritional addition to a diet reliant on white rice and wheat flour. Thiamine, missing from white rice, is present in soba and eating thiamine (vitamin B1) prevents the disease beriberi. It contains lysine, which is lacking in wheat flour. Soba contains all eight essential amino acids. The tradition of eating soba arose in the Edo period."

I buy mine from:

Singapore │ Store Locator │ DAISO JAPAN
Only S$2 for 400g (4 bundles x 100g per bundle; including about 13g of healthy plant protein per bundle). :o

You're welcome, and I hope you become a vegan one day. ;)

Anyway, here's another pro-vegan video:

Actually, I have tried to abstain from eating meat and fish before but it's not easy in Singapore.

Not many cheap veggie food and I got tired of eating the same veggies over again and again.

Maybe I didn't try hard enough or maybe it's a case of old habits die hard.

My taste buds also need to get used to the new experience which I found extremely difficult.

But I have switched from coffee to tea and now green tea and from plain water to lemon water.

I found the posts regarding green tea informative.
