Is it satire?
Content creator Darshen Kuna has been slammed for being "rude and demeaning" after he called travellers who fly economy class "peasants".
In a sarcastic March 31 social media post about why flying in business class isn't worth it, Darshen wrote: "I hope this post reaches the economy-class peasants. So help me to like or share or whatever, I don’t care."
The six "reasons" he listed included "The food portion is always huge, it's like they're trying to make you gain weight unnecessarily."
But Darshen concluded at end of the post: "Despite it being not worth it, I would still choose to fly business class because I rather be the one to give the economy-class peasants the dirty look."
Stomper Anonymous said: "It's very rude and demeaning of him to call people peasants just because they fly economy. He forgets that his money earned from being an influencer comes from the 'peasants' too."
In his post, Darshen also shared a photo of a toy bear from Singapore Airlines and wrote: "They would even give you a surprise gift to make your flight even more memorable. How inconvenient because now I have an extra thing to carry."
The Stomper complained: "The crew gave him a teddy bear meant only for kids."

At least one other person also had a problem with Darshen's post.
An Instagram user commented: "Yikes! Unfollowed."
Darshen replied:"HAHAHA it’s satire and sarcasm, but it’s okay if you don’t get it."
Other netizens came to the content creator's defence too. One said: "Literally, everyone except you got it."
The Instagram user responded: "I know what satire is. This is not satire.
"He's basically saying flying business class is worth it and calling the rest of us peasants. But that's a s****y take because most people can't afford something so expensive. And that's why I think it's problematic. Pretty sure the joke is y'all here. Good luck."
