Two teenage sisters have been murdered in Pakistan after they were accused of tarnishing their family's name by making a video of themselves dancing in the rain. The girls, aged 15 and 16, are seen running around in traditional dress with two other younger children outside their bungalow

However, when the footage was circulated via mobile phones, it caused outrage in the conservative Pakistani town. Last Sunday the girls were shot alongside their mother in their home by five gunmen.

Police are investigating whether the attack was arranged by the girls' step-brother, named as Khutore, who allegedly wanted to 'restore the family's honour' according to The Sunday Times. The sisters' other brother has filed a case against Khutore and the four other alleged accomplices who are now believed to be on the run.

Last year four women are believed to have been killed by tribal elders for dancing and singing with men at a wedding party in the remote north-western village of Kohistan in Pakistan.

Normally, I just let people believe in their own faiths if they do not impose their beliefs on others, but cases like these make me ask - what sort of beliefs and practices are these that do not respect normal human behaviors like song and dance?!? What have these two girls done that is shameful or harmful to their communities? And most of all, what did the moderates in these communities do to prevent the unfair justice against them?!?

To the muslim community - you guys should wake yourselves up from the medieval dark ages and respect humans as humans. Turning a blind eye to atrocities by your own communities doesn't make you a holier person, but displays the savagery in what you believe to be divine. Fuckheads!

It was the 20-year-old's "cocky" walking style that purportedly riled a group of 10 tattooed youths who set upon their victim with parangs outside Cathay Cineleisure Orchard on Saturday night.

Mr Wilson Siau, a full-time national serviceman, said he was smoking in an empty space between the mall and *Scape with five other friends after dinner at about 9pm.

The youths approached him and commented on his walking style, particularly the way he swung his arms, which they described as "arrogant".
Ignoring their taunts, Mr Siau turned to walk away when all 10 went after him.
