Dancer fined $800 over fight

On Thursday, Nazneen Nazir Ahmad, 22, was fined $800 for disturbing the peace on Nov 11. A district court heard that Nazneen got into an argument over a staring incident with Ms Kalieswari Silvarajoo, 21, in the back alley of the Shah Alam coffee shop along Circular Road at 6.15am. Police officers on patrol advised them to calm down but instead they threw punches and kicks at each other. Ms Kalieswari was fined $800 last month. Asking for a similar sentence, Nazneen's lawyer said that his client had performed at Cuppage Plaza before heading to Boat Quay for supper and drinks and got involved in an unfortunate fracas.
