<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I USE SBS Transit service 53 quite often and the waiting time is usually 10 minutes.
After bus fares were reduced, my waiting time seems to have increased to between 15 and 30 minutes. These timings are irrespective of peak or off-peak hours.
More has to be done to improve waiting times if the Government wants more people to travel by public transport.
Daily audits and checks must be conducted. Employ and deploy more personnel for this to improve our public transport system. Wilson Choo

Our bus system is just not up to mark, at all, despite claims about a "world class transport network". I was in Tokyo 3 weeks back, and the bus Captain was connected to an intercomms system where he will warn passengers if there is a bump ahead or if there is a sharp bend. It's good as a pre-empt for passengers in the rear who can't see what's happening. It's a quiet, smooth journey, which goes a long way for personal comfort. In Singapore, what do we have? We have the ridiculous TV Mobile which only 5-6 passengers can see at best and speeding, reckless PRC bus Captains (come on, they do exist).

Oh SBS, what a valiant effort in trying, but you still fall short, way short, sadly.
