STOMPer LadyHawkEye came across these pictures on facebook which showed a dirty coffeeshop in Kelantan Road in which mead curry puffs which were sold illegally by street peddlers.

Said the STOMPer:

"I would like to share a few pictures of the dirtiest coffeeshop in Kelantan Road.

"These peddlers always sell curry puffs near the MRT stations.

"I got this from a post in facebook and I would like to ensure that people don't buy the curry puff from them.

"Here are some of the pictures where they did their preparation work of curry puff in an unhygienic place and manner.

"They even knead the dough with their legs.

"I hope that the authorities will look into this matter seriously."

Yes this matter should be looked into. Earning a living is one thing but in this case there are health considerations.

Some are I am sure but the conditions and environment could be just as unhygenic and filthy.

That is the problem, it could be doubling up as both.

Being too clean can get into allergy problem too.

One time I took a walk out of boredom around Desker area.. Saw many of these food like curry puffs and other Mama snacks being prepared inside the kitchens of the shophouses around the area..

Most of the workers are either India Kelings or Matland Malay guys.. Can see from the backlanes how dirty their kitchens were..

Better be careful by the food prepared by these Kelings.. When drunk, they could even mistaken a dead smashed lizard for a potato filling and put it inside the curry puff..

Quite a common sight to see these Malaysian guys and Minahs selling these kind of curry puffs at Boon Lay interchange and other bus interchanges..

Don't buy from them.. Play safe, better buy from Polar or Old Chang Kee..
