Today's update

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 139 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Tuesday (July 27).
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 64,453.

136 new locally-transmitted cases​

There are 136 cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, 55 of whom remain unlinked, according to the night update.
There are three imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.
Amongst them, two were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while one developed the illness during SHN or isolation.

Community cases and unlinked cases continue to be on the rise​

The number of new cases in the community has increased from 642 cases in the week before to 967 cases in the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 46 cases in the week before to 182 cases in the past week.
The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 112.1 and 26 respectively.

39 active clusters​

There are four new clusters today including Westlite Juniper Dormitory and a cleaner at Punggol Primary School.
The Westlite Juniper Dormitory cluster now has a total of nine cases while four other cases are linked to a cleaner at Punggol Primary School.
In total, there are currently 39 active clusters, ranging between three and 902 infections.

The new MOH directives will not go into such details for a single case in school. I was told that if student X is covided and unlinked, the whole class will be served Quarantine Order (because X may be infected by another classmate) and one accompany parent will join them in the hotel or chalet. If the parent object, the whole family will serve Quarantine Order at home.

You asked a good question; some may be confused with Punggol Primary & Punggol Cove Primary which are both hit.

From the way things go, looks like MOH is trying to identify generic clusters to lump more people together.
