Serious [COVID-19 Virus] PAP response to 2019 nCov Situation

Hmmm....... that's an interesting approach, luckily I have never been on that cruise.

On the Royal Carribean cruises, the hand sanitizers are squirted on your hands before you enter the buffet hall.

Govt just announced that:

"All new visitors with recent travel history to Hubei within the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter or transit through Singapore from Wednesday (29 January) 12 noon onwards, as part of new measures implemented by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Tuesday.
The travel ban also extends to those with Chinese passports issued in Hubei, said MOH during a media conference on Tuesday. For this group of travellers, there will be a suspension on issuance of all new visas, previously-issued short-term and multiple-visit visas, and visa-free transit facilities. The ban applies to land, sea and air travel."

No big deal la. Singapore is not banning entries from China. So we are screwed either way.

It's no use. Many other provinces and cities already under partial lockdown. Shanghai is now in grave danger.

Most expensive govt in the world now then only talk about Hubei province. LOL! :roflmao:

Most expensive govt but least value for money.:biggrin:

In view of the dire situation we are facing, these two clowns still want to lecture sinkies? Fucking assholes!

In his opening remarks, Lawrence Wong said, “The government will do everything we can to protect Singapore and Singaporeans, but this does not mean overreacting or turning xenophobic.”

Education Minister Ong Ye Kung chimed in as well, “Imagine (if) at the height of SARS...other countries say, ‘Get Singaporeans out of our country’.
So I would say, do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you.”

Xenophilic globalists, what do you expect?

We should monitor the situation for 1-2 weeks, even HK suspended school and asked non-essential civil servants to work from home. We probably hosted as many Wuhan people in Singapore as HK (or more) in Jan 2020. We allow China tourists to tour around Singapore during CNY, yet we tell school kids to self-quarantine for 14-15 days after their family or they visited China. No logic right?

We have a lot of China students and teachers in Singapore. Some of them returned to China, some of them hosted families from China in Singapore during CNY.

It has been about 4-5 days since the school stopped on last Friday. If we quarantine everyone for another 7-10 days, it will be reduce the risks of human-human transmission effectively by losing only a few days of school.

Imagine if we decided to stop school like HK on this Thursday or Friday instead, then we have to restart and count 14 days again if there is any outbreak.

Why do you think Sinkieland was the regional SARS champion in 2003?

Nothing has changed after 17 years.

We have much more China teachers and students in Singapore since 2003.

Current accumulated death toll is 100, but people believed that 100 died daily.
