i pay 1 million ringgit for a hbd 3 rm that is already 50 years old. in another 50 years, i will try to sell it and hope to get half the money back. I am told the JB condo are worhless with time and in 50 years time will be free to anybody who wants it.. In 50 years, i am told my HDB will definatley win against JB condo>>>>??

To be frank, unless they maintain well but state have 40% share in it so the surrounding should be alright and believe the management will improve. Buying JB property can only hope to live there not for investment. Only land value will improve in 50 years later, depend solely on the land value appreciation to maintain its value. Passing down to next generation no eyes see, can only let them enjoy life there only. Again if SG getting so expensive so demand might lift up in Johor. Over supply is always the concern so can only wait and see. Condition in Johor will definitely better then last time.

I think the meaning of being leasehold needs to be understood properly as wrong understanding is likely to cause disastrous financial consequences and what entail for many.
