The garden city, Singapore, is beautiful. The industry in Singapore is also one of the most diversified value chains in the world.
During the brief introduction held by the Economic Development Board (EDB), we learned that there are different industries in this small country: manufacturing, financial services, etc. with their strong growth capabilities.
In Singapore, there are mainly six different areas the governments pay more attention to in just manufacture industries: electronics, biomedical, chemicals, aerospace, water technology and clean energy.
They are diversified from capital intensive industries like electronics, and knowledge intensive one such as biomedical science.
However, in the government's point of view, they need to have some innovation and creation in the industry. That’s also excited us engineering talents who want to be involved in this rising technology in dynamic Singapore!
Most of us major in electronics engineering, and from our point of view, the electronics industry in Singapore is very attractive to us because of its mature semiconductor value chain with S$73 billion contribution to the economic growth in 2007.
Therefore, we have a great zest to join this challenging and dynamic business in Singapore.
