THE Straits Times, Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) flagship English daily newspaper, continues to be the leading newspaper in Singapore with 36 per cent readership, according to the Nielsen Media Index 2010 survey.
The survey results also showed that three in five PMEBs or professionals/managers/executives/businessmen, read The Straits Times.
Overall, SPH's stable of multimedia platforms - newspapers, online portals, magazines and radio - have garnered strong support from Singaporeans.
Lianhe Zaobao topped the list of Chinese newspapers with a readership of 15 per cent, while Her World confirmed its position as Singapore's Number One Women's Magazine.
Said SPH chief executive officer Alan Chan in a media statement: "SPH's media platforms have become an important part of Singaporeans' lives. We are pleased to know that our products are the top choice for many Singaporeans, both for news as well as for their lifestyle and entertainment needs.
"We will continue to improve on our performance and deliver products of the highest quality to our readers, listeners and advertisers."
