德國西部動物園元旦凌晨火警 30多隻動物死亡
德國西部一家動物園元旦凌晨發生火警，30多隻動物死亡。
火警發生在德國西部北萊茵-威斯特法倫州的克雷費爾德動物園。克雷費爾德市消防部門表示，火勢很快被控制，但動物園的猿類館已被燒毀，死亡的包括黑猩猩及小型猿類等，經濟損失數百萬歐元。
當地警方認為，火警可能是有人在跨年夜，非法燃放紙製的天燈所引起，警方正進一步調查。
克雷費爾德動物園佔地14公頃，園內約有1000隻動物，每年吸引約40萬名遊客。燒毀的猿類館建於1975年，佔地面積約2000平方米。

More than 30 animals killed in early morning fire on New Year's Day in western zoo in Germany
A fire broke out on a New Year's Day in a zoo in western Germany, killing more than 30 animals.
The fire broke out at the Krefeld Zoo in North Rhine-Westphalia, western Germany. Krefeld's fire department said the fire was quickly brought under control, but the zoo's ape museum had been burned. The deaths included chimpanzees and small apes, which cost millions of euros.
The local police believes that the fire may be caused by someone illegally setting off a paper lantern, and the police are investigating further.
The Krefeld Zoo covers an area of 14 hectares, with about 1,000 animals in the park, and attracts about 400,000 visitors each year. The burnt-out ape museum was built in 1975 and covers an area of about 2,000 square meters.
