i am not greedy. greedy means you go to snatch others money or cheat others.
i just want to earn more for myself and family. Nothing wrong.
then extra, i want to do charity. i wanted to see how much i can achieve for my life.

be it career, wealth or others things. you wont understand .

Somehow after the ancient days, money were introduced and that's where greed started. Life started to evolve with money. Everywhere u go needs money.
I have been enlightened after I realised human don't actually need a lot of money to survive. Success is also not measured by money.
A useful person in my context now is someone who can help others not in money terms.

A person that needs to work and work to earn more money are just money slaves. The day when they die the truth will be known.
You wont understand where I'm coming from if you Re not enlightened person.

My thought is that you need to be comfortable what or who you would like to work with.....to being a volunteer.
The aged, the youth or the children..... Then we take it from there.....this is just my thoughts here though.

Yes, you are right. You got money then can retire.

But if old parents stil working and support themselves then you stop working.
To me, you are very 不孝。

If you want to contribute to society, then you should back to work.
Then support your family, got money, do a bit charity.

I think this is the simple and easy thing that you can do.

im curious.....why is it many if not most of sinkies feel that they cannot enjoy life or live a meaningful life unless they are fully occupied with work and labour or at least some of the time.even though some of them have 500 or 600k or substantial savings and they live a simple frugal live all their lives which means they have enough to last more than a lifetime.is there something preventing sinkies from living in the moment,from simply enjoying the fact of their existence the simple fact that they are alive,every moment is passing by without us knowing.is there something we are looking for?is there something we are seeking to fill up this void?what are we constantly pursuing?more wealth more gdp growth,that we forsake everything thats important for our soul,the essence of mushroom soup.maybe its conditioned into singaporeans from young,that we are constantly looking for a image of perfection,something impossible to cover up our inner coolie genes and shame.we work and work to cover up our feeling of inferiority and sense of insecurity,money and status and beautiful homes to cover up our sense of shame,that we were not good enough for LKY,that we never earned his love and approval no matter how much sinkies tried and how hard they wail for Ah Pa.sinkies are the unloved children,abused by their Ah gong and the PAP.
