Australia's Jess Fox bounced back from her heartbreak in the K1 slalom, when she managed bronze, claiming a gold medal in the C1 event.

The 27-year-old went into the final as the favourite, having comfortably set the fastest time in the semi-finals.

Fox celebrates as she crosses the finish line to win gold.

She was one of just two competitors in the final who didn't incur penalty seconds in the final.

Fox, whose father was also an Olympian, said she was "over the moon."
