He assaulted and threatened to kill a man in March last year but was let off after police gave him a stern warning about three months later.
But this did little to deter car workshop worker Joseph Tan Chee Meng, now 49. Weeks later, he assaulted another man with a saw.
Tan was jailed yesterday for eight months after pleading guilty to one count of voluntarily causing hurt with the weapon.
The court heard that he got into a fight with Kua Cheow Wah, 38, at a carpark near Block 176, Boon Lay Drive at around 10am on July 1, last year.
For his role in the fight, Kua, who was armed with a chopper was jailed for five months this February.
