i don't think the concept of traditional car in anyway like resale can be apply to EV. it is a totally new concept and paradigm in the market of EV. you buy and throw and get new one again or even like a PC, upgrade the parts to renew the car.EV has no soul with them
1.Low resale value cos it's easy to make and everyone is making.
2.costly Changes of battery and might as well change to new car.
3.Limited mileage and long charging time.
4. Not enough charging point and costly charging per KW.
But Toyota has 50yrs of safety track record de wohEven japanese are shocked.
The chinese version of phev shames the toyota version which have not changed for decades technologically. They simply maintain the same version as it sold well where batteries are used to boost ICE engine power.
Chinese on the other hand did the reverse. ICE are used to charge the batteries which powers the EV achieving mind boggling 1000-1500 km from a full tank and batteries fully charged.
EV safety record is less than 10yrsEV has no soul with them

Batteries get cheaper, last longer over time.EV has no soul with them

U are rightBatteries get cheaper, last longer over time.
Almost zero maintenance cost.
Low resale because huge progress between older models and newer ones. But that is good for used car buyers.
The day solid state batteries are in established production, I'll buy an EV. Right now the potential fire/explosion hazard still weights heavily on my mind.U are right
But solid battery still not arrived yet
And Nippon Toyota is leading in this new Tech
Solid state batteries are still in development. By the time it comes, the power density of current lithium ion will have gone up with longer range and charging duration comes down to about 10 mins based on new car models being just out. Plus huge advances in battery safety making it almost zero risk of thermal runaways and fires including in a crash.U are right

No need pump petrol leBatteries get cheaper, last longer over time.

Its gone and continue to go down. Plus higher energy density that can be stored,Costs of battery will not go down.
I am shock at this car !!!
And it is good for everyone including those in the City to eliminate pollution. Its a EV made in china. Its the charger that is different as instead of using power from the grid, it uses power by harnessing radio frequency. So its off grid and good for rural areas with no infrastructure.
