SINGAPORE: Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen and US Secretary of Defense James Mattis on Saturday (Jun 3) reaffirmed the "excellent and longstanding" defence ties between Singapore and the United States, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said.
Meeting over breakfast on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue – Asia's premier security forum – in Singapore, Dr Ng and Mr Mattis discussed security issues and cooperation to foster regional stability.

how can that be worse for singapore if we reunite with malaysia?how much more can we grow?we are already at our physical limitations,any growth from now on is just artificial ponzi growth,we are just trading whatever limited amount of stuff we have for more money,fiat money,driving the price of everything even higher than skyhigh,we are just playing this never ending game of inflation and high cost.u know why everything is so expensive,because there is so much fiat money chasing a small amount of goods,its like gold when its at $2000 at the peak of the bubble,the price of goods does not reflect its true value,gold should be $800 or less.....in the end who wins and who suffers?the corporations win and the population suffers,they are able to exploit the supply and demand inefficiencies by importing goods where theres abundant supply and cheap and sell it in singapore where theres tons of people and supply is limited.....imagine i go to malaysia and buy 1000 kg of whole chicken at less than $3 a kg,a whole chicken usually weighs about 800 to 900g,lets assume its 1kg,a whole chicken can be cut up into 8 parts,2 thighs 2 breasts 2 wings and 2 drumsticks,i can fry them up and sell these 8 parts at KFC for $20 in Singapore,guess what i just turn $3 into $20!!!the same chicken in malaysia would sell for only 20 ringgit in their kfc or marrybrown restaurant,or $8.everything in singapore is scarce and expensive which contributes to everything else being more scarce and expensive.transport cost is high,real estate cost is high,electric and utilities are high,manpower cost is only one factor of the problem.

the only solution is to merge with mudland and end this ponzi once and for all!!!!
