And that is good overall for America because Americans are overspending at a national level on imported (and often unnecessary) consumption goods from overseas, including China.

american purchasing psychology has gone psycho the last 36.9 years. case in point: nail spas. before the arrival of cheap nail spas during the 70s, you would never hear of american women (white, black, brown) going to do their manicures and pedicures weekly, not even monthly. now with vietbus and tiongbus providing nail grooming and coloring services, it’s a daily affair. a visit can easily set a customer back $120 and waste an hour or more. a low ses american woman would go less but still spend $120 a week. cheap labor from asia has caused this shift. same with asian women serving men in all the latest tug and fug spas (i.e. massage joints with happy ending). the price has dropped to $18 per full body massage plus $69 for happy ending. in the 70s it used to be $90 just to do it with a street hooker plus $39 and tax for a motel 6 room. it’s a new american culture of spend and spend when luxury seems affordable (below $1000). ask cecabu and tiongbu living in america to spend $120 at a nail spa, and they’ll tell you to f*ck off.
