Perhaps Mr Tan should have cast his net wider.
Or perhaps, Mr Tan should have looked beyond the prejudices which other people have pulled over his eyes.
Sounds to me TKL have aliented CTL and now, we have ejay openly asking TKL to reconsider things as CTL is deem by ejay as the only one who could help Tan, but is CTL really the one who could do something? or could this be the only way, where CTL and his gang of F4s and whatever could finally find a proper political support given how many other parties are suspicious of their intention?
are their intentions for real?
However, lets not talk politics but look at the law, as in this case, contract law. A contract is a contract, as long as there is representation, there is consideration, there is agreement, the countract is done and no side could back out or make changes unless:
1. all sides agreed, or
2, the contract originally allow changes to take place with needless of expressig consent on either side.
Banks, when they have prepared these contracts, would get lawyers to handle this and ensuring their level of responsiblity, or the lack of responsiblity is well dictated within the fine print of such contract. Consumers, mostly would not bother to read the fine print but would just relied on the bans and their sales officers, in this case of good faith, to ensure that the terms are fair to them.
Is there any misrepresentation? and if there is, how could you prove it?
it is not that most lawyers wont take up such cases, hey if they could successfully sued a bank, I m sure that lawyer would have made a damn good name for himself or herself in the legal profession, but lawyers are not dumb and blind, they know what they are up against and what chances they have and in this case, up against a case where they would have a hard time, in could be close to impossible to prove it.
So since ejay is promoting CTL as the lawyer to TKL, i would like to see CTL try.
But if CTL failed, his legal career is over. So is his political ambition, if there is any left.
