SINGAPORE — A disagreement that began in Parliament earlier this week between Workers’ Party chief Pritam Singh and Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing — over whether the Government should release data breaking down employment numbers for Singaporeans, Permanent Residents (PRs) and foreigners — continued on Wednesday (Jan 8), with Senior Minister of State (Trade and Industry) Chee Hong Tat weighing in on the issue.

Mr Chee said in a Facebook post that the release of such data and distinguishing between Singaporeans and non-citizens in the workforce would drive a wedge between different groups in society, reiterating a point made by Mr Chan on Monday.

It is plain as day, the 70% can never see, that many jobs go to foreigners...even they know, they will still vote PAP, for PAP says they create chops, oops! jobs for them. That is why PAP is the best. They can twist the words around like doing the "twist".

Ccb talk so much...bird of the same feathers...give us the data and we can decide ourselves if the fucking policies are sound

There is a voice resonating from the grave that is saying " it is best, not for you to know".

The Party dug us into this hole where we "need" PRs to support the economy. If costs of living were not astronomically high, many Singaporeans would be doing the jobs filled by these PRs.

And if they say Singaporeans can't do the job, then the finger points at the MOE for not producing students capable of filling the jobs. Class sizes should have been reduced decades ago.

Round and round we go, the roads all lead back to the Party.

If the Party cannot deliver the goods, they should put on the dunce cap and sit in a corner for a while until they get their shit together. Serve the nation in Opposition where they will do a good job as the check and balance on the new government.

did he say a “wedgie”?

What the fuck is Chee Bye Tat talking about? The fucking government created racial issues when there were none (by magically changing an Indian to Malay), then by creating issues between Singaporeans (make no mistake - am referring to home born and bred Singaporeans not the imported kind) and the rif raf first from China, then Indons, then Pinots, not to mention all the variety of white trash and not to forget the fucking CECAs.

Liddat say then obviously the figures will show that the PRs are advantaged over citizens...WTF, this type of gahmen and elected MP we also want?

All their talk about stability etc is bullshit - after ruling for 50 years, they are unable to unite the people, keep asking
for tolerance, respect each other etc. when in fact they are the ones who have been driving the wedges. They are
the people who cause the accident, blame you and then worse, offer to help you to repair your car.

So, all this talk about transparency etc is chicken talk shit, and willing to be transparent only when it suits them.

how cud a wedge b created wen it oredi exists wen u kip mum ...

What kind of wedge? The McDonalds kind or the Burger King kind?

The wedge is already there because citizens locals have to do NS whereas PR locals don't.

If the data were favourable to sinkies, they would've published it long ago. Therefore, fuck you PAP!:FU:

The wedge is already here, and hare-brained comments by pappy vermins such as Chee Bai Hong Kan Tat will only make the situation worse.

All these PRO-FOREIGNERS PAP Ministers paid millions per annum MUST BE VOTED OUT in the coming GE !!!

IF u have in parliament Kee Chiu and Chee Hong ,u don't need enemies ,they will implode themselves.Don't expect too much from pea-brained jokers.

Fuck his mother's Cheebye. Whole piece take out and burn.

This is what the Chee Hong said in parliament, that PAP echo chamber, today:

“We have achieved these outcomes by staying united and working together. Let us not go down the path of other economies which are struggling with the politics of division and envy.
“The PRs in our workforce have made contributions to Singapore, both economically and socially, even though they receive lower subsidies and fewer benefits than citizens.
“More importantly, many PRs are family members of our fellow Singapore citizens, as Mr Singh would be aware since the Workers’ Party has joined PAP MPs in advocating for foreign spouses and children of Singapore citizens to be given priority for Singapore citizenship.
“We must firmly reject all attempts to drive a wedge between different groups within our society and stand resolute against efforts to stir fear and hatred for political gain. Only then can we continue to progress together as Team Singapore.”

Side-stepping the issue, talk about the need for unity - die die don't want to supply after his Cock Chun Seng promised yesterday.
