海關與食環署進行聯合行動，於銅鑼灣食肆檢獲懷疑附有虛假產地說明的「陽澄湖大閘蟹」。
【星島日報報道】海關與食環署周一進行聯合行動，於銅鑼灣一間持牌食肆檢獲19隻標示為「陽澄湖大閘蟹」懷疑附有虛假產地說明的蟹隻，該食肆一名32歲經理因涉嫌違反《商品說明條例》被捕。
食環署因應情報，懷疑該食肆管有及展示銷售「陽澄湖大閘蟹」。然而，根據署方資料，香港目前並沒有進口陽澄湖大閘蟹，於是與海關採取聯合行動。行動中，海關從該食肆檢取19隻懷疑附有虛假產地說明的「陽澄湖大閘蟹」，估計市值約1300元；食肆一名32歲經理因涉嫌違反《商品說明條例》被捕。
據海關調查顯示，涉事食肆早前從一間本港批發商購入一批產地為日本，並附相關衞生證明書的大閘蟹。
海關會繼續與食環署保持緊密的情報交流及合作，於各出入境管制站採取聯合行動，打擊非法進口食物活動。雙方於本月已於出入境管制站破獲兩宗大型案件，共檢獲接近1500隻懷疑走私大閘蟹，市值約3萬元。
食物安全中心日前提醒市民，現時香港至今沒有輸入陽澄湖大閘蟹的紀錄。

A joint operation was conducted with the FEHD to seize the "Yang Cheng Lake Hairy Crab" suspected of possession of false origin in the Causeway Bay restaurant.
[Sing Tao Daily Report] The Customs and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) conducted a joint operation on Monday to seize 19 crabs, which were marked as "Yang Cheng Lake Hairy Crabs" suspected to be accompanied by false origins, in a licensed restaurant in Causeway Bay. The restaurant was a 32-year-old manager. Arrested on suspicion of violating the Trade Descriptions Ordinance.
In response to the information, the FEHD suspected that the restaurant had a display and sale of "Yang Cheng Lake Hairy Crab". However, according to the information of the Department, Hong Kong does not currently import Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs, so it has taken joint action with the Customs. During the operation, the Customs seized 19 "Yangcheng Lake Hairy Crabs" suspected of possessing false origins from the restaurant. The estimated market value was about 1,300 yuan. A 32-year-old manager of the restaurant was arrested for violating the Trade Descriptions Ordinance.
According to a survey conducted by the Customs and Excise Department, the restaurant has purchased a batch of hairy crabs from Japan, which are produced in Japan and accompanied by relevant health certificates.
The Customs and Excise Department will continue to maintain close intelligence exchanges and co-operation with the FEHD and take joint action at various immigration control points to combat illegal importation of food. The two sides have cracked two large-scale cases at the immigration control point this month. A total of nearly 1,500 suspected smuggling hairy crabs were seized with a market value of about $30,000.
The Centre for Food Safety has recently reminded members of the public that there is no record of importing Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs.
