A 40-year-old woman, caught in a hotel room with a Bangladeshi man, tried to cover up her shame by using her two-year-old baby boy as an excuse to be with the foreigner.
She tried to wrangle her way out by arguing with officers from the Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Department (Jawi) that she was married to the man and that the baby was theirs.
She claimed they were resting at the hotel in Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz after a hectic celebration to usher in the New Year at Dataran Merdeka.
After more prodding, she finally confessed that she had known the man only hours before the New Year countdown bash.
