[h=1]CANADIAN FINED $600 FOR ENTERING TRAIN DRIVER'S CABIN TO ESCAPE CROWD[/h]
Post date:
15 Apr 2015 - 8:27pm

Peter Anthony Kampos, a 36 year old Canadian man, was fined $600 today for entering the driver's cabin of an SMRT train.

The court heard that Kampos had opened up the emergency exit panel at the rear of the train and entered into the driver's cabin in order to escape the crowd.
He pleaded guilty to 2 offences under the Rapid Trasit Systems Regulations.

The incident happened during the evening peak hour on a westbound train at about 6:30pm. He was seen by another commuter who alerted the driver with the emergency communication button.

The train was stopped at Tanjong Pagar and police came and arrested the man who was found crouching down in the driver's cabin.

He could have been fined up to $500 for each offence.

Kangaroo court had a time again :oIo:

This is highly dangerous...What if he has the ignition key and start the engine and drive the train in the reverse direction.?

This is highly dangerous and will crash into the oncoming train in double quick time.

What...??? Only fined $600.. for a highly dangerous act.???

You press that emergency button inside the train already will Kena fine $500? Or is it $1000? Kns this angmo only got $600 fine

Yet more evidence that they handle foreigners with kid's gloves but reserve the iron fist for citizens.

The maximum is $1000 and he was fined $600. That's a fair sentence by any measure.

Many sinkies have their $500 max offenses compounded for less than $100.
