Can somebody please explain to me why our statutory boards playing investments??

Just doing their job will not earn them much. Those Stat board need to show "real" contribution in order to justify their pay. So that's begin their using of public fund.

But the question is, will they be penalize for any investment fail? Since they could claim "credits" for any gain...
