Because more car will be fuel efficient. And also more electric car will be on the road which is more energy efficiency as high as 80% convert electric to traction.
Where gasoline/petrol efficiency on 20% because must of the energy lost in heat .
Meaning electric car use less energy or about more than 3 times efficient using same amount of energy.
