There have been ample cases where someone pays up front even if they are in the right because it is cheaper to do so and not because they did something wrong. NKF and CHC (although yet to be concluded) provide clear cut cases where the plaintiff was in the wrong and the accuser was in the right but the accuser chose to pay up because it was cheaper to do so than to go through a long and expensive litigation process.
If Transgender Loong is indeed keen to prove his innocence and Roy's wrongs then he will volunteer to pay for Roy's legal fees and proceed with the case in open court so that everything that is required to be known is made known. Transgender Loong is paid handsomely by the taxpayers and holds multiple high positions where we appreciate that he is handsomely rewarded financially. I am certain that Transgender Loong intends to proceed with the case only so that everyone knows every hard fact and truth about the CPF and that even though he swallowed his entire foot and shin when he said that he would reward his supporters it is not the case that he would reward them or buy their support using taxpayers monies which includes the CPF.

In my opinion, this Roy is digging his own grave.
