burmese tofu?

should not even be called Burmese as Shan are not strictly not Burmese (Bamar) but Thai (Tai)

that's interesting! according to wikipedia which I just went digging through, shan are all over SE Asia, but mainly in Burma some 5 million? However, the tai people population 93 million of which the Shan are supposed to be a subgroup are mainly from Thailand. So I guess it's depending on which group you bundle them with.

But what's really interesting is that the Shan people were originally from Yunnan! Which makes ah Sam, (drum roll please) Chinese!! :roflmao:

but of course he could be bamar or karen or rakhine or even cuntonese.... :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Very well said...

So the burmese invented smelly tofu.
Clean water is an issue in Myanmar. Even most women in city shower just a few times a week (eg. alternate day). Every day just use towel and water to wash private parts and sweaty areas.
This proves that Burmese cheesepies are the best! Never tried the tofu though.
who invented it, why and what it's known as - is revealed somewhere in the above statements.
nice to learn something new in this forum :thumbsup:

Is that cheesepie from Lady M?

When a lady spreads her legs, they form a 'M' shape.
