Wagner joins the Red Devils
Kaiserslautern - 1. FC Kaiserslautern have bolstered their forward line with the acquistion of Sandro Wagner from Werder Bremen, on an initial 18-month loan deal.
FCK have a contractual option to then buy the 24-year-old striker. The two clubs furthermore agreed that he will take no active part in Saturday's game between Kaiserslautern and Bremen at the Betzenberg.
Top-flight experience
Munich-born Wagner spent three years with the FC Bayern reserve side, also turning out four times for the first team, before moving to MSV Duisburg in 2008.
In 36 Bundesliga 2 outings, he hit the net twelve times for the Zebras and Bremen snapped him up in 2010. Wagner went on to make 30 top-flight appearances for the Green-Whites, scoring five goals.
"Sandro Wagner's a really good young German player, whose quality and style of play are going to help us", FCK head coach Marco Kurz commented.
