The person who told me this is none other than an ex employee himself. If stalls remains empty for too long, towkay will hire workers to do char tow kway biz or something else.

You can 'redevelop' it by renovation and then raising the rents, which always happens when coffeeshops change hands.
Not re develop it. For example if it is freehold, you own the place and the land can worth quite a lot. Then you project the 4 to 5 years to breakeven and you will have that price. A good coffeeshop can make about 500k to 1m a year or even more. Depends on size.

It's hdb so it's 99 leasehold. Won't be surprised if the lease is shorter than that like those of hawker stalls or factories.
Like most of the other hdb coffee shops they're usually classified and sold as hdb shophouses.
This coffeshop must have been the older ones sold as 99 year lease, some HDB shop houses are only 30 year leasehold.
Yes they still own the petrol station there and the corner shop house opposite Thomson CC.
