Dear Singaporeans,

If PAP can lower the cost of living in Singapore, then exotic pigs can fly !

They say don’t worry, we give you some new pennies to tide over 2013, and let 2014 be 2014.

Ironically, the PAP already has planned for 6.9 in 2030 for better quality of life if swiss standard cannot be smelled yesterdays during the Tong era.
Perhaps, we should start asking people around us----did you see growth at your stoop ? But you know ,the GDP always went through the PAP roof , how can you not benefitted from so-called rebates and discount ?

My friends , to reduce cost of living means grappling with GST, COE, ERP, COV, housing price, decent wages, etc, etc, it’s like digging into the heart cm by cm of the PAP Prime minister. The list that matters is not endless.

One may ask –singapore has a huge reserves, GICs, Temasek, lottery, casinos levy, and all the taxes you can find, and Singapore is a very rich country, but why Singaporeans are living a rat race instead of a quality life ? How are all these monies linked and share amongst ?

Another one may answer gleefully ---singaporeans are working sun up to sun down just to feed these machineries . Once a compulsive gambler, the family of this gambler will never live in peace ! The reserves are for rainy days that some day will come, 50 years on, we are still waiting for rainy days to come !

Singapore is on its no- return road, you people call it “ slippery road” , the whole setting is grossly pathetic , policies are in chaotic state. They are still keeping up the talk about the illusive growth which true wealth is flowed to the fat civil servants office.

Singaporeans must face the broken reality, Singapore is a broken home ! PAP and the PAP PM cannot afford to change a thing except giving out painkillers. PAP PM may choked with tears but his party will be in jeopardy if he searches for conscience. Apologies and regrets cannot save the day, we are not running a coffeeshop, livelihood is at stake .
It may be too late to talk about change.

The only way to restore Singapore is to put in 40 to 45 Oppo MPs into the parliament next GE so all first fingers point to the PAP when painstaking change takes place.

Meanwhile, just sit loose, the outcome is forgone, hope is fat ! Just look forward for GE 2016 !

You are indeed correct.

Budget 2013 is just a whitewash, nothing concrete to address living cost.

Another panadol popping exercise.

Figures looks attractive but they are just like durians that cannot be reached.

No wonder it rains cats.

better look forward to 2016 GE

There they go again.....squeezing the middle class, bring some relief to the poor and leave the rich smiling!!

Just like the previous budgets, this new one has few goodies for me, if any. Not that I was expecting anything since I have already gotten used to not getting any at all. But they want to tax me more on my property!!! Property that my wife and myself worked doubly hard to pay for because we failed in our ballot for a HDB flat (in our younger days). Granted that the increased amount wouldn't be much more but it pisses me off that they are taking more from me.

This government is pissing most citizens off with their 6.9 million population white paper and now they are pissing me off by taxing me more when I use so little public resources.

With all the budget surpluses from the previous years, I wonder where has all the money gone to? I don't feel rich. I don't feel privileged. All I feel is anger!!! And dispair... On my right, I have a govt. determined to tax me out of blood and sweat money and make me work till the day I die. And on my left, I have a opposition party who is not bright enough to tell the citizens that they will start using OUR RESERVES to improve our lives!!!

(sorry for the ranting. I already tried to shorten my ramblings.)

Bro, the budget does not benefit me the sandwich class at all.

People with salary below $4000 got more attention. We are robbed ?

It's obvious to see PAP has no solutions to address the current problems except using taxes to get by .

The rich has no issues with paying more taxes.

The rich has no problem of buying 300k japanese car.

This is no budget , this is borrowing from John to pay peter.

So the country reserves remain for rainy days, are we not facing one now ?

Anyway, looks like PAP is waiting for a coaltion govt after 2016.

tell you true, next budget year and the next next budget , except the 2016 one may got some bones for dogs, they will be the same.

Singaporeans need to give PAP another tighter slap next GE, so they wake their bloody idea !

Robin Hood budget? PAP is killing the middle class singaporeans
!

The most fucked-up thing he does is curbing car numbers for the rich to drive.

Did he ever wonder what people own most cars on the roads in singapore ?

Then why the weekend car was introduced ?

You want a big working population , but you want to control the cars like a bloody sucker.

6.9 million was a desperate move to quickly import able-bodied aliens to feed the CPF and the taxes.

these PAP fuckers are not addressing serious problems at the root. Local singaporeans are marginalised further.

Yes, one more hefty slap next GE on those cowdung PAP faces !

the 超级白 say that the WP's motion to freeze influx of FTs is killing SMEs. but as we all know, SMEs need to fulfill pink IC headcount in order to hire FTs. given a typical 5 Singaporeans: 1 FT ratio, 1 less FT in the company won't hurt.

now, with the new COE, vehicle quota, 5yr loan tenure crap that the 超级百 introduces..... it is in fact killing SMEs! their initiative is favoring MNCs, bcos MNCs have the financial muscle to endure this crap. SMEs with lesser financial muscle will soon resort to delivering their supplies via MRTs!
