BTW, there is a Singapore styled bak kwa shop in Prince Centre, 8 Quay Street, Haymarket. Supposedly selling Singapore style bak kwa (I have not tried) unlike those Viet style bak kwa sold at Cabramatta centre (this I tried). That shop is called Wei Zheng Xiang not Mei Zheng Xiang. One of those copycat in Sydney.

Nowaday All festivals are commercialised including Christmas . That's how businessman make use of that " special day" for you to spend money .

Don't know about that copycat shop in Sydney, Haymarket. Shop was closed on Monday and Tuesday when I was there. But I think I saw those qie pian slices through the glass panel.

Those at Cabramatta have both qie pian and mince ones. But the taste is not exactly the same as the SG flavor. :( :o

But if you are going for the more chewy type, then Cabramatta place (Kaysone Sweets @ 4/59 Park Rd 97555759) may be something you want to try. Find their bak kwa much more chewy that SG type. BTW, been to this shop about 2 years ago. Not sure if they are still there.
