<hr style="background-color: rgb(152, 152, 152); color: rgb(152, 152, 152);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --> WTF, only top student gets to network in NTU, other students are asked to fuck off. Wonder whether are these top students paying more tuition fee than others? So why such discrimination against the rest of the undergrads population? Furthermore most if not all of these top student have scholarships, so they dont even need to pay for their uni education, while the rest got to pay and yet kena discriminated. NTU YOU ARE SO FUCK UP!

Why give top students priority in networking event?
NTU scheme to link employers & undergrads draws flak
By Liew Hanqing
November 16, 2009

Some Nanyang Technological University (NTU) students are riled up by how their school organised a recent networking event for graduating students and potential bosses.

At NTU's Super Networking Day on 29 Sep, students were split into two sessions based on their grades. Students who attended the earlier part of the event got to attend various company presentations, a networking session and a tea reception. Those who attended later missed out on the presentation.

When contacted, NTU said its Super Networking Day was originally meant only for top students. The university decided to add a new session this year to give more students the opportunity to networking with and learn about prospective employers.

What if the employers are the one who wants to talk with the top 20% of the cohort? Can you blame them?

I am the bosses, I would also want to meet the top students, this is only natural. I do not think this is discrimination, just meritocracy at play.

Yes, uniform groups aside we feel that those lowest to medium rungs of the Tudors and the Medici are insignificant rubbish and frogs-in-the-well that should do more to better themselves even after retirement.

No sane boss would in a fit of humanity loving demand that the university bring the poor grade students to his presence instead.

It's simply too irrational and illogical.

Well, that explains why he is such a lousy president then.

He would have scored an A if there is a subject called International Warfare. His thesis would probably be "How to invade another country righteously".
