Breaking News. SQ830 on way to Shanghai return back. Dump fuel. See veedeo

Forgive my retardedness, but flying in the air doesn't need suspension. Already suspended in midair?
In case the air turbulence become too bad

The plane's suspension and braking systems are vital to landing. If they aren't working properly the most risky part of the flight (landing) could go very very wrong

My question is how did they find out mid flight the suspension was problematic. Maybe the planes nowadays have very sophisticated self diagnostic systems? Dunno ..... Need an expert to confirm

Cockpit problem. Pilot did not elaborate. Plane turned back and landed safely. Plane was a 787.
There's news today regarding SQ allowing the Boeing 737 Max going back into service. Something to do with inherent safety problems. Not sure if that's the same model flying today

Yes I agree. Taking off and landing are the two most crucial aspects of flying. But they have already taken off, hence what's the difference between landing in Changi and landing at their destination in Shanghai? Unless they feel that the ground crew in Shanghai or the equipment there are not up to standard?:biggrin:
