'I don't think I'll reach 94'

By Li Xueying

MINISTER Mentor Lee Kuan Yew does not think he will live as long as his father, who died at 94.

He said this in an interview with CNN which was conducted the day before he turned 85 last Tuesday, and two days after he suffered an atrial flutter.

'So I don't think I'll reach my father's 94,' he said.

I hope in his final years, he will let go earthly temptations like Power and Money, which he can't bring along.
Spend more time with his family.

If Singapore still need him to run around in order to function, we are screwed.

he might amend the law such that they still pay him even when he is six feet under...

Ah yes, he did say he would return from the grave. Another big boast from a senile old man

If he were to return it would be for $$$$ but if he had the power why die.? I'm sure there are others in the PAP waiting to take his place & they aren't going to want to share even a cent with a dead LKY. He did hand pick his team & we know the type of people the PAP is infested with . :(

I don't think Singaporeans want to see LKY work to death.

For his own sake and ours. LKY should retire gracefully by not contesting the next GE, enjoy the last years of his life in peace, relaxation and away from the public eye.

When his eventual death due to old age is announced on TV, even those who criticized him will look at him more favorably - after he been away from public view for a few years.
Absence will make the heart grow fonder, maybe, probably...
