I really have to admire the way the PAP is successfully controlling this pandemic.

This shows just how well organised the government is to deal with every possible situation.

I think they had been stockpiling all those gowns and N95 masks and PPE from 2003. So they were more than happy to put it to good use.

We had the H1N1 scare which made us take out those PPEs to use as well.

I do hear from the ground that GP clinic business is very slow now as most people do NOT want to go to see the dr. Worried about other sick patients.

Telemedicine is not a thing in Singapore.

So makes you wonder maybe they are testing a lot less now because no one is going for tests?

The "confirmed cases" is very very lousy reflection of what is truly going on.

For example Alberta has stopped testing travelers coming from abroad. They assume they are high risk and ask them to stay at home. They no longer test them.

This has led to a lower number of cases reported.

Like I said what's the point in reporting these numbers if it is highly dependent on who you want to test?

The main purpose is to keep your hospitals functioning. Not overwhelm them.

Perhaps another way is to show wait times at EDs. How many waiting to see dr? Average waiting time to see dr?

What you want to is to let people know the hospitals are still ok or if they are FUCKED.

Who good comes out of reporting how many cases you want to find by testing? Especially when everyone is asked to isloate at home anyway?

If you want, go test a random number of people. Determine what the true incidence rate of covid19 is.

After a couple of days research I would probably consider this chart to be most reliable indicator of just how lethal this bug is.

One of my relatives in Singapore had the sniffles but no fever. He went to see his doctor and was issued a 5 day stay home order. He has to send his temperature readings taken every 6 hours to the doctor during this period.

Yes most of the cases are now local transmissions and the fact that the numbers are so low shows what a good job the PAP is doing in contact tracing and enforcing quarantines.

The PAP truly is the best of the best. No other party even comes close.

KNN why pap always have loopholes in their criteria and clauses KNN when they state "You should only leave home to seek medical attention" already overrides all the previous clauses KNN they can leave home and when got caught they can say they are going to seek medical attention KNN if pap found they did not go to seek any medical attention they can then say on the way I felt better so I decided not to seek medical attention anymore KNN
