Fire breaks out at Robinson Road

A unit in Afro Asia building was on fire earlier this morning.

Smoke was seen billowing from the sixth-floor unit of the building which is located at 63 Robinson Road.

According to netizens who were at the scene, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel rushed to put out the blaze and managed to bring the fire under control.

In an email to citizen journalism Stomp Timothy S said:

"Frazzled-looking SCDF firefighters hesitant to enter Afro-Asia Building.

"They're trying to aim jets of water into the unit from the ground but they are missing."

The SCDF could not give AsiaOne any information just yet. Please check back with us for more updates.
