May not be the case in the near future. Used to be THE business to go into when govt removed the cap on interest rate which used to be max 18% pa. Now, it can be 30% monthly, all legalised.

Met a friend in this business quite recently and was told many are giving up their licenses or trying to sell them. Why? Govt is going to implement new measures. Most jialak for these licensed moneylenders is the minimum annual salary of borrowers before they qualify. Going to raise to 30k pa. 75% of current borrowers don't meet this requirement.

Yours can be assessed as almost risk free for the moneylender. They will be looking at 5-10% monthly interest. Very high.

too late to liquidate and run. the assessment of the case should have been done before you even decide to fight. especially with such amounts involved. are you going to get money in the end? how confident are they? will it be enough to cover everything you've lost? courts are not about morality, or face, or even ethics. if i were against you i would just drag the case until you go bust. the solution is not to borrow if you cannot even win
