SINGAPORE: Beleaguered stallholders of the Bishan Lunar New Year Bazaar said they plan to take legal action against the organiser, following the poor turnout of customers.
What had been promised to be an exciting array of 300 stalls has now been reduced to 20.
Some stallholders who left, claim the organiser had promised Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng as the guest-of-honour, but his attendance did not fall through.
An ex-stallholder said he only managed to sell about five per cent of his goods.
But they're not the only ones appearing on the losing end. The organiser claims to have suffered losses of up to S$1 million. - CNA/vm
