SINGAPORE: The government's most pressing concern moving into 2009 is to maintain progress amid the uncertain economic conditions and to ensure that vulnerable groups are taken care of.

Not saying it was the appropriate thing to say, but without writing the words preceding these, it takes the statement somewhat out of context. He made comment that the MM wants to abolish the ERP gantries and increase the COE cost. He said that rather than squeeze SGPeans out of buying a car he will ... "".

Like I said - making no excuses here, but when quoting anyone it should include the full statement so as to keep it in context.
