It is the time of the year again!
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is reminding the public to exercise greater caution when making religious offerings during the "Qing Ming" festival.
This is given that religious activities like the burning of incense paper and lighting candles/joss sticks are expected to increase during the festival.
SCDF said the burning of incense paper should be done in incense burners.
The burners or containers should be placed on sturdy ground and at a safe distance away from combustible materials and locations.
SCDF said fire safety is a collective responsibility.
