Dubbed the Eee PC Seashell Karim Rashid Collection (1008P), this newcomer was announced along with a slew of new offerings from Asus at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. With its sleek curves and soft textures, the chic netbook is set to please the eyes and fingers of the fashion-conscious. Trendsetters get a choice of, according to Asus, glossy hot pink or matte coffee brown.

The new netbook on the block has a frameless 10.1-inch back-lit LED screen, and runs on a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor. Weighing in at 1.14 kg, the Eee PC comes preloaded with Windows 7 and sports 1GB of memory and 250GB of storage space. On top of that, Asus will provide 500GB of online storage so you can store and access your files remotely.

This zippy gadget can run for 6 hours on a single charge. It also promises to take you online faster than you can say \"Facebook\", with the help of a lightweight secondary operating system called Express Gate, which boots in seconds and lets you browse the Internet and make Skype calls.

The Eee PC Seashell Karim Rashid Collection will be available here come February.
