If you get screwed by Royalty, you can only keep quiet and suffer internally... Or cry to heaven.

With such Royal involvement, I'm pretty sure this will get built :)

In terms of height, it's gonna be taller than even Setia Sky's Altus tower by as much as 30m+ although both are ~70 storeys. Given that the JB skyline has not seen any iconic change over the decades, i hope the 2 towers of Astaka could do to JB in some way what petronas' twin towers did to KL in terms of giving the city a whole new image, if skyline views can indeed make a difference.

JOHOR BAHARU, 28 Julai (Bernama) -- The Astaka @ 1 Bukit Senyum, yang akan menjadi menara kediaman tertinggi di negara ini, dijangka siap empat tahun lagi, kata ketua pegawai eksekutif pemaju hartanah Astaka Padu Sdn Bhd Datuk Zamani Kassim.

Zamani berkata The Astaka @ 1 Bukit Senyum, merangkumi dua menara kondominium 70 tingkat dan 65 tingkat dengan ketinggian 1,000 kaki dari aras laut.

"1 Bukit Senyum adalah projek mega pertama melibatkan empat fasa merangkumi The Astaka, hotel, menara pejabat, pejabat kecil dari rumah (SOHO) oleh syarikat bumiputera 100 peratus di Johor yang merupakan sebahagian daripada langkah penswastaan dan pelan pembangunan semula bandaraya Johor Baharu oleh kerajaan negeri," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian pada majlis menandatangani perjanjian kontrak pembinaan The Astaka antara Astaka Padu Sdn Bhd dan Penta Ocean Construction Co Ltd, kontraktor pembinaan dari Jepun, yang disaksikan Menteri Besar Johor Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, di sini, semalam.

Zamani berkata The Astaka akan dibangunkan di atas satu plot tanah pegangan bebas yang meliputi kawasan seluas 0.969 hektar melibatkan nilai pembangunan kasar (GDV) RM1.2 bilion.

Beliau berkata ia akan menempatkan 438 suite ultra-mewah dengan lif peribadi serta dilengkapi sistem keselamatan empat lapis.

Harga bagi unit-unit tersebut bermula di antara RM2 juta dan RM8.45 juta dengan pengesahan pembelian melebihi 60 peratus, yang mana 80 peratus daripadanya terdiri daripada rakyat Singapura, setakat ini.

Setiap unit menawarkan pemandangan laut dan antara kemudahan yang ditawarkan termasuk kolam renang infiniti, gim, bilik spa peribadi dan kolam renang kanak-kanak.

"1 Bukit Senyum is the first mega project involves four phases include The Astaka, hotels, office towers, small home office (SOHO) by 100 per cent Bumiputera company in Johor which is part of the privatization and redevelopment plan Johor Baharu city by state , "he said.

He was speaking at the signing of the construction contract between the Astaka Pavilion Padu Sdn Bhd and Penta Ocean Construction Co Ltd, a construction contractor from Japan, who witnessed the Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, here, today.

Zamani said The Astaka will be constructed on a plot of freehold land covers an area of ​​0.969 hectares gross development value (GDV) of RM1.2 billion.

He said it will house 438 ultra-luxurious suites with private lift and equipped with four-layered security system.

Prices for the units start at between RM2 million and RM8.45 million with more than 60 percent of the purchase confirmation, of which 80 per cent of the people of Singapore, so far.

Each unit offers a view of the sea and the facilities offered include an infinity pool, gym, private spa room and a children's pool.

JOHOR BAHARU, July 28 (Bernama) -- The Astaka @ 1 Bukit Senyum will be the country's tallest residential structure when it is ready in four years, said developer, Astaka Padu Sdn Bhd.

Chief executive officer, Datuk Zamani Kassim, said The Astaka comprised two contominium blocks of 70 and 65 stories respectively.

"The wholly-owned Bumuputera mega project, which comprises The Astaka, hotel, offices, small office/home office, is part of the Johor state government's privatization and urban renewal projects of the Johore Baharu city," he said.

Zamani said this at the signing of the construction contract between the company and Penta Ocean Construction Co Ltd from Japan last night.

Also present was Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

He said The Astaka, which will be build on 0.96-hectare site, has a gross development value of RM1.2 billion.

"There will be 438 ultra-luxurious suites with dedicated lifts and tight security measures.

"Each unit with cost between RM2 million and RM8.45 million. To-date there are confirmed purchase for 60 per cent of the units, where Singaporeans make up 80 per cent," he said.

Lets all huat together!

I bought a low floor stack 3 facing permas in tower B due to my limited budget. Hopefully all goes well and wants to rent it out so I can get passive income.

This project once completed and cash out, will be hard to buy back due to $$$$, unless market crash lol

this project if hit 1700 PSF i very happy already, cannot be too greedy. As long as dont make loss its considered bonus liow
 
seems like the MRT not stopping nearby, station ~500 metres away..... walkable but hot, with issues abt security.

anyway developer already know and already have bus to station

The tunnel wont come up until maybe 2018-2020, when the rest of the development comes up. They gonna use it mostly to cater for phase 2 users.

With the MRT so far away, the only selling point now likely gonna be the CIQ tunnel.

The signing of S&P will start today at The Central Building @ Clarke Quay.

Buyers whom already get loan approved or paying in cash will be able to sign the S&P today.
