Watching the TV telecasts in the last week I can't help but feel that many people, especially those PAP MPs and civil servants, were trying to make an impact for themselves by somehow trying to associate themelves with GKS. Is this a run up to the next GE?

Secondly, knowing that GKS was a leading founding father of modern Singapore, why didn't the government invite him to special national events and occasions like the NDP and honor him. Why only sing praises over his dead body just to feel and look good for themselve????
