Don't want to overwork the air conditioners....Though my air-conditioning system is 8. Y.o and still in good condition. There should be a "dry" setting on your air con where it acts as a dehumidifier.

if you don't wish to turn on your ac the whole day, just a can of high grade silica gel (desiccant) will do. but you must close all openings and vents. it will absorb moisture and bodily fluids from any wet virgin. in fact the humidifier above uses some desiccant inside.I just bought this industrial Novita nd690

Have used these silica gel granules before. It seems the green/orange types are safer though.if you don't wish to turn on your ac the whole day, just a can of high grade silica gel (desiccant) will do. but you must close all openings and vents. it will absorb moisture and bodily fluids from any wet virgin. in fact the humidifier above uses some desiccant inside.

yes, orange dessicant beads are safer for home use. industrial dehumidifiers outside of europe may contain blue silica gel.Have used these silica gel granules before. It seems the green/orange types are safer though.
Why Use Orange Indicating Silica Gel?
In 1998, the European Union prohibited Blue Indicating Silica Gel (which contains cobalt chloride, a known human toxin) from being sold within European markets. Alternatively, Orange Indicating Silica Gel, which is used in a variety of the same industries and applications, such as transformer breathers and compressed air dryers, conforms to the European Union requirements for moisture indicating desiccants.
In addition to conforming to EU requirements, AGM’s Orange Silica Gel also has a high adsorption capacity, and will remove moisture at temperatures as high as 150° F (65°C). However, it is best used at room temperature (70‐90° F /21-32°C).

I prefer my home to be around 40% humidity...It's a preference. Less mould formation and less room for bacteria and fungus growth.KNN sinkies are all living in little dot why some uses humidifier and some de humidifier KNN offset it means no need both KNN
