Subjects like philosophy and political science requires logical and analytical thinking skills. Anyone who majors in these areas of studies can't be a mugger to do well. It is a good training for the mind more than anything else. So, we can't really say that all arts graduates are useless trash!

I agree wholeheartedly. Philosophy is at the pinnacle of every technical field like engineering, finance, medicine, technology etc. The problem is in singapore, critical thinking and creativity are not valued so the Arts faculty has become a dumping ground for slackers and hot chicks.
